 SG Series

The SG Series is one of the best-performing, most reliable and most versatile three-phase UPS systems available for applications requiring critical power protection.

This true online double-conversion UPS utilizes advanced network integration software and communication connectivity to provide comprehensive, easy-to-integrate power protection for virtually any IT environment.

The SG Series operates in VFI (Voltage and Frequency Independent) mode, maximizing load protection at all times. Instead of standard filters, the UPS uses an innovative control algorithm on the IGBT rectifier to ensure the delivery of clean power in the most efficient manner.

ABB’s unique RPA™ (Redundant Parallel Architecture) technology allows multiple units to operate in parallel, further increasing system reliability and uptime.

Throughout their entire life cycle, all ABB UPS systems are supported by dedicated service teams providing world-class, 24/7 preventive and corrective maintenance, training and application expertise.

High efficiency

  • Up to 94.6% efficiency in double-conversion mode and up to 99% efficiency in eBoost mode
  • eBoost operation minimizes losses and can significantly reduce annual power and cooling costs
  • The PurePulse IGBT rectifier keeps the supply network clean and compact by reducing the size requirements for circuit breakers, cabling and generators

High performance and availability

  • Enhanced output performance protects and supplies even the most sensitive IT loads with a lagging-leading power factor (0.9) without derating
  • Excellent dynamic performance and low output voltage distortion
  • Inverter zig-zag isolation transformer provides outstanding short-circuit capability and galvanic load separation

Low cost of ownership

  • Optimal performance across a wide power range
  • Excellent dynamic response under pulsating load conditions
  • Scalable paralleling technology reduces operating footprint and increases system reliability by eliminating the need for external paralleling equipment
